About project

  • AHEAD Association together with partners from Europe implements the project: Combating discrimination and anti-plaster in education and on the labor market in the EU (PAL).
  • The implementation of the project facilitates access to education and finding a job for Roma people.
  • The activities are co-financed by the European Union under the DG Justice program.

The purpose of the project


The project aimed to support Roma youth participation of different levels, by gathering qualitative data about approaches and practices of Roma youth and supporting initiatives where Roma participation is key to long-term change.

Activities aimed at education

  • Integrated approach to the specific educational program adapted for "Second Chance" type education
  • International Roma integration campaign "It's not too late" in order to popularize the benefits of education;
  • Teacher training courses (320 students)
  • "Stimulates education" - socialization course for Roma children (1220 participants)

Activities aimed at access to employment

  • Integrated approach to the current situation with adaptation to specific possibilities regarding Roma employment in the EU;
  • "Hire Me" - International awareness campaign on Roma integration, aimed at popularizing equal opportunities in employment services in the EU;
  • Training of online trainers with 360 participants;
  • „Stimuleaza oportunitati de angajare” – eveniment ce promoveaza drepturile de munca si posibilitatile de acces pe piata muncii (1800 de participanti).

Joint activities

  • Local promotion activities: information, newsletters, press release, posters, brochures
  • Preparation and presentation of the anti-discrimination model based on best practices and prevention policies in the Roma communities in the EU.
